As a Qualification Systems Engineer you will report to the Lead Hardware Systems Engineer and Project Design Authority as applicable. Your responsibilities will include estimation of development activities, design of technical solutions, implementation of proposed solutions and the testing involved in verifying them. The safe design of the system prior to delivery and for the preparation of information required by the Design Authority to support the Design Certification and Certificate of Design activities
Knowledge:
A strong Hardware and Systems Engineering background
A good understanding of the complete engineering lifecycle and configuration management
A good working knowledge of the development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, integration and testing, acceptance), and development tools (e.g. Requirements Management, Modelling and defect reporting systems)
Experience of providing engineering input and support to business development activities would be an advantage.
Demonstrable knowledge or experience in some or all of the following would be especially desirable, in particular their applications in a military context:

We have an exciting, long-term opportunity for an experienced Contract Commissioning Engineer to join our customer based in Yorkshire.
This role offers an OUTSIDE IR35 determination, meaning we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
Our customer is a well-respected provider of technical machinery, designed and developed in the UK and sold globally. They serve various industries, including FMCG, chemical, and automation. Due to a prestigious project win, they are looking for skilled contractors to support their project teams.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of mechanical and instrumentation equipment, ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards and in compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Commissioning Engineer - Yorkshire
-Oversee and execute both dry and wet commissioning activities.
-Collaborate with a team to ensure mechanical and instrumentation systems are installed and operating as per the design specifications.
-Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements during commissioning.
-Troubleshoot, resolve technical issues, and ensure smooth integration of equipment across the project.
-Liaise with project stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure all systems are compatible.
-Have proven experience in mechanical commissioning within a similar industry (FMCG, chemical, or automation).
-Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of instrumentation systems and commissioning processes.

Systems Performance Modelling Engineer contract
Location: Bristol or Stevenage (on-site)
Duration: 12 months
Our client is looking for a modeller to produce models of the seeker RF Radar. The model includes the seeker hardware, digital processing and target environment. The modelling team is responsible for developing the model, producing auto-code, generating seeker performance predictions and interfacing the seeker model into the missile dynamic reference model.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, this is predominantly done on-site but there is some flexibility depending on project.

Our client is seeking a Functional Safety Systems Engineer to join their core team in the Essex. You will be a key player in ensuring complex, distributed technologies including powertrain, infotainment, and active safety meet the highest safety standards. Using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), you will bridge the gap between research and production, turning “what if” into “what s next.” As a key member of an exciting team leading Functional Safety activities in Product Development, this role involves working with technology subject matter experts to conduct Functional Safety analysis using efficient model-based systems engineering (MBSE / SysML) tools. Additionally, you will work with global teams to design simple and safe systems that bring advanced distributed technology from research to production. This role promotes technical growth and team collaboration.
Skills Required:
Execute ISO 26262 functional safety activities with cross functional and global teams (e.g., powertrain, infotainment, active safety, driver assistance, and automated features).
Apply client s ISO 26262 processes, methods, tools, and trainings to develop functional safety software and system work products.
Use MBSE/SysML to model functions, interfaces, and safety-related behaviour; contribute to globally common safety ratings and model libraries.

Produce clear technical documentation and communications supporting audits, reviews, and program milestones.
