Role profile:

We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Lead Java Engineer to join the SwapClear Interfaces development team, part of the SwapClear Technology function supporting the LCH Swap Clearing business. The team is responsible for the designing, building, and supporting critical interfaces and systems that facilitate the clearing operations.

This Senior Lead Java Engineer role will focus on leading the team in designing, building and maintaining Java-based applications and their related systems that are critical to the SwapClear Clearing operations.

You will be worked in scrum team and work collaboratively within an Agile environment to ensure the smooth execution of the software development lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and support. We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for an AI and Automation Specialist to join our IT team.

Role Overview

In this hands-on delivery role, you will lead the build and deployment of automation and agent solutions using Microsoft 365 tooling. You will turn prioritised use cases into secure, reliable releases, while establishing repeatable delivery approaches for the future. You will work closely with Information Security, Cyber and Technology Risk to ensure that delivery aligns to policy and control requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Configuring and enhancing CoPilot Studio agents and Power Automate workflows within agreed boundaries.
  • Shaping technical delivery options for each use case, selecting pragmatic patterns that can be reused and scaled.
  • Implementing secure controls, including permissions, access boundaries, and least privilege.
  • Producing production ready assets including error handling, logging, support notes, and handover documentation.
  • Supporting testing and release activity, including defect resolution and early life support.
  • Contributing to benefits capture by defining measurable outcomes for delivered solutions and supporting evidence collection.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 automation and agent tooling, including Power Automate and CoPilot Studio. You will have a deep understanding of identity, access and permissions in M365, and how these affect data exposure. Experience working in regulated environments with strong control expectations and auditability is essential.
