Description

You’ll join as Engineering Manager (12 Month FTC), a unique role here at Ki, acting as an advocate for our technology vision as well as building and developing a high-performance culture within the engineering team. You’ll use your significant and invaluable experience in software engineering roles to bring a product-led and agile working mindset to the business and establish engineering departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
You’ll have ample opportunity to involve yourself with diversity projects, promote ownership and accountability, learning and teaching, and driving engineering principles helping to develop a culture of excellence and wellbeing. We hope you would also contribute to expanding the engineering brand by getting involved with external talks and meetups, as well as networking with other like-minded experts and leaders.
Synopsis of the role
Using your hands-on technical expertise you’ll establish technical best practices, policies, ways of working, testing and delivery strategies, overseeing these across the engineering team. Crucially, you’ll work with the rest of the engineering leadership team and the CTO to plan, forecast and manage Ki’s investment in technology and its engineering department and be accountable for the operational health of the product group, using data to drive improvements, ensuring our products are delivered and supported to a high standard.
Keeping current with trends and issues in the technology industry, including current technologies you’ll advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
The above is very much non exhaustive and a mere synopsis so if your interest has been sparked, we’d love to talk with you about your experience and ambitions and the full scope of this opportunity.
