Description
We are looking to recruit an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer for Civica’s Central Government Division. Central Government are Civica’s professional services arm of the business and you will be responsible for primarily supporting development environments for our customer environments.
Previous experience of working in an IT Managed Services environment is highly desirable as you will be working with a range of different technologies as every customer is different.
What is needed for the role is experience of working in an Azure environment and commercial experience of Infrastructure as Code. You will have good commercial experience working with PowerShell, and any exposure to Bicep or Terraform would be preferred.
Technical environment:
· Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 (and previous) based systems including DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, RDS, DFS.
· Active Directory with multiple forests and forests with multiple domains
· Troubleshoot basic problems in MS SQL
· Microsoft Azure, IaaS and Identity management (ADFS, WAP)
· Working knowledge Private and Public Cloud platforms, Azure and AWS
· Virtualisation Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V,)
· SAN and Clustering technologies (Dell and HP SANs)
· Windows NLB and Clustering
· Resilient systems, both locally and geographically
· Microsoft System Centre (SCOM, SCCM, DPM, SCVMM)
· AD Resource Forest models
· Backup Technologies
· Be able to manage basic firewalling such as Fortigate
· Write technical changes and implement where required
· Enterprise grade server and storage hardware
· Virtualization principles & technologies
