Introduction
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager to make an impact at a growing business with an inspiring mission.
The Modern Milkman is a purpose-driven business that delivers fresh ways to reduce waste for customers nationwide. Our goal is to reset our throwaway society, and, to date, we’ve saved 81,402,464 plastic bottles from polluting the planet. Not bad for a business that started as four friends from Lancashire delivering milk from a beat-up truck! To do this, we offer our customers the ability to make more planet-positive shopping habits one small, simple and very convenient step at a time.
The Product Manager will join an existing digital product management team, reporting into the Product Director. They will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the product strategy and roadmap, and ensuring the wider business is aligned to this. They will work closely with stakeholders, customers, engineers and data analysts to uncover new opportunities to create value, and then lead the design and execution process to deliver it. At the highest level, this role will provide two key capabilities…
Product strategy & roadmap development which is the cornerstone of this role - in that we must understand where this product ultimately needs to go, and how we can get there. A great product strategy is one that continuously evolves based on an endless stream of insights (from market research to customer feedback to internal data, goals and worldviews). The strategy must be understood and rallied around by all key stakeholders, and used to define the next step the product needs to take (i.e. the roadmap).
Product delivery is the execution of the product strategy. A collaborative exercise across engineering and business SMEs, the product team must ensure we understand the “why” and the “what” when discovering and delivering a new feature or initiative, and importantly ensure all participants stay aligned to that goal.
This role will be focused primarily on our customer journey and would be perfect for someone that wants to be involved in every aspect of a new feature from planning and scoping, right through to designing, building and sharing the story behind the work as it launches. You’ll be wearing many hats and get involved in all aspects of building a product and company!
