The role sits within a central IT department for a parent company of a group of different businesses. The role has three main streams. The first is enterprise architecture for infrastructure and SecOps within the central IT department. This comes with the immediate deliverables of setting up architectural standards, a technical design authority, an incubator and contributing towards the implementation of regulatory standards (SOX and NIST). The second is to contribute towards the enterprise architecture of a number of subsidiary companies within the digital domain: SDLC modernisation, AI enablement and the integration of applications into the wider group. The third is to contribute to a group-wide function who have the objective of leading the effort to adopt AI across the group in the business as well as technology.
You will have strong enterprise architecture experience that will encompass infrastructure, digital and AI. Experience working for a parenting company that has made continuous acquisitions globally, or a utilities company, would be advantageous but is not essential.
The company has a 5 year roadmap for modernisation, including the adoption of AI. There is significant investment to support with this on a global basis.
There is SIGNIFICANT flexibility around REMOTE working. There will be monthly meetings in person, but the location can be flexible and any flights and accommodation will be paid for by the company.

We are looking for an experienced ERP Engineer to join our Oracle ERP Support and Development team, providing hands-on technical support and development for the Councils Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) platforms. In this role, you will act as a senior technical specialist, taking ownership of complex incidents, service requests and change activity across the Oracle landscape. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, assess change impacts, and communicate clearly with stakeholders to maintain a stable, secure and highly available ERP platform supporting around 4,500 council staff and 30,000 external users. You will also play a key role in the technical management of the platform, covering system configuration, integrations, security and the technical impact of Oracles monthly and quarterly release cycles. This includes leading technical testing and regression activity, and ensuring that fixes, enhancements and configuration changes safeguard data security, system integrity and service continuity. The role involves close collaboration with third-party suppliers and internal teams across ICT, Finance, HR and Payroll. Youll provide day-to-day technical leadership within the support function while contributing to continuous improvement, helping the Council maximise the value of its ERP investment. Proven hands-on experience is required in supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Integration Cloud, alongside a solid background in integrations and data flows, user administration and security configuration, and technical tooling such as SQL, SFTP, PowerShell and VBA. Experience operating within structured incident, problem and change management processes is essential, alongside a broad understanding of wider ICT principles, sound judgement and the confidence to prioritise effectively in a business-critical environment.
