The successful candidate will take a foreman role, leading on-site teams, coordinating with electrical engineers, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities

Lead (&very hands on) small installation team on mechanical works for conveyor systems of all types.

Oversee final commissioning, testing, and handover of projects.

Collaborate closely with electrical engineers and project teams during installation and commissioning.

Ensure safe and efficient execution of on-site works, including alignment, adjustments, and performance verification.

Provide guidance to junior engineers

Prepare commissioning reports, site documentation, and handover materials.

Essential Criteria

Proven experience in the conveyor, materials handling, or related mechanical engineering industry.

What you’ll need to succeedEssential Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree (2:1) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical or product design (medical field preferred).

Proficiency in SolidWorks (mechanism design, surface modelling) and AutoCAD.

Hands-on experience building prototypes and using engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA).

Strong understanding of ISO 13485 Quality Management System.

Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Desirable:

Experience with PDM systems.
