Senior Cyber Security Governance Manager

I’m currently partnered with a leading global organisation that is looking for a GRC Lead to oversee the day to day running of their Governance, Risk & Compliance function. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll manage compliance tooling, support client governance activity, and help shape their GRC capability.

The role will report directly into the global CISO and is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with stakeholders and customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about practical, effective GRC delivery!

• Implement and maintain core compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST etc)
• Lead supplier assurance activities and review contractual/security requirements
• Understand third-party risk and be able to assess and implement appropriate controls.
• Support client governance, audit responses, and evidence preparation
• Hands on experience working with IT Audit teams to implement controls
• Bring a proactive, delivery-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow

Job Description

To provide an efficient implementation, management and technical support of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services, for all systems provided by the ICT function in the support of the operational departments and stakeholders of East Ayrshire Council, In order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Finance & ICT Service Plan and the Community Plan

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

The Individual

This is a permanent full time post based within the Opera House, Kilmarnock.

The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked:
Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm

The full time salary of the post is between £42,115 - £45,882 per annum.

The workstyle for the post is ‘Flexible’ - 50% -79% of your time in an office location/ multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home. It is the expectation that all office-based employees (with the exception of those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.

CommTel are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our Scotland Office. Reporting directly to the UK and Europe Service Delivery Manager in the ISS Business Unit, the Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for technical assistance to our UK and European customers.

The Technical Support Engineer’s day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring customer issues are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Delivery of customer support, installation and testing as required.
• Providing technical sales support and advice.
• Delivering proof of concept testing and reporting.
• International travel as required to support our customers across Europe and the UK.

Essential Requirements

• Formal qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Dip, BSc, Higher level certificates)
• 2-5 years hands-on experience in the telecommunications industry, preferably involving MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS, WDM, LTE, SDH, PDH, Microwave Radio.
• Resides within the Glasgow region.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in utilities and/or resources industry.
• Experience in deploying and testing of cyber security systems such as firewalls, vulnerability assessment software and penetration testing.
• Knowledge and experience in BSS/OSS, including NMS and SNMP technology.
• Juniper JNCIS, Cisco CCNA or CCNP and industry based cyber security certification.

Fire & Security Engineer Manager

Up to £45,000 DOE

We`re recruiting for an excellent Supervisor / Manager role within Fire & Security, which requires someone to manage and lead an engineering team who install and service Security Alarms, CCTV and Fire systems too. Someone with related managerial or leadership experience within the industry would be highly desired, although we may also be able to consider very experienced security engineers who are now looking to take the next step in their career.
