Role Overview
As a Laptop Refresh Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transitioning laptops from SCCM Device Management with Office 2016 to a modern device management model using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Intune, and Office 365. You’ll work in pairs across various police sites, ensuring that staff and officers have the tools they need to perform their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate in teams of two, traveling to sites (vehicle provided) when needed.
Manage daily appointments and site visits using our in-house booking system.
Assist users with:- Swapping legacy laptops for new MEM-based devices, ensuring smooth enrolment and first login.

  • Wiping and re-enrolling existing devices that meet minimum hardware specifications.
  • Ensuring users complete a mandatory handover checklist, including software installations, logins, drive mappings, and OneDrive syncing.

Maintain accurate records of: - Timekeeping and appointment attendance

  • Stock levels and asset movements

  • Mileage and travel

  • Technical incidents or issues encountered

Manage laptop stock using the organization’s CMDB and Asset Register.
