Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Days - Newry Area - Salary Up To £40000 (DoE)Your New CompanyOur client provides a range of specialist products across a wide variety of industries with an unwavering focus on quality and innovation.Your New RoleWorking as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (mechanical bias) your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner * Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM) * Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required * Supervising / assisting visiting specialist engineers and inspectors when necessary * Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to management * Plan / prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time * Assist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment * Assist with the design and manufacture of bespoke machinery/production lines etc. * Available for occasional out of hours call out in emergencies.What You’ll Need To SucceedIn order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:Experience as a qualified maintenance / service engineer operating in an industrial environment - You MUST BE time-served within a relevant engineering discipline * Experience with fault-finding and maintenance of factory plant/equipment as well as lathes, mills and drills * Experience with checking and tightening chain tensions, slides and bearings * Experience with maintaining complex multi axis (5) pallet turning, milling, drilling punch CNC machines and control systems is highly desirable * Experience with fault-finding and rectification on relay logic and PLC control systems is highly desirable.What You’ll Get In ReturnThis role offers a highly attractive package by way of hours and salary. The standard working hours are Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:30 + Friday 08:00 - 13:30. Some flexibility will be required for occasional weekend work for planned/project maintenance.
