Your Role:

• Build and maintain cloud platforms with a high degree of focus on technical reuse, standardisation and blueprints; think code first rather than “ClickOps”

• Continue to strengthen and bolster your existing capabilities in platform engineering through a mix of professional training, certifications, and experiences.

Your skills and experience

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with scripting and resource monitoring using tools like YAML, PowerShell, JSON, or Python, with a focus on automation and reducing manual tasks.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation, ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub, Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines, Artifacts), and observability tools like Splunk.
• Experience contributing to end-to-end delivery using ITIL frameworks, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Role Description:

We are seeking a SilverFort Subject Matter Expert to own, operate and continuously enhance SilverFort as a core Barclays service, delivering a unified identity and access management platform across the organisation. This role will act as the primary technical authority for SilverFort, responsible for its architecture, policy design, integration with wider identity, security and infrastructure services, and overall service maturity.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for owning, operating and continuously enhancing SilverFort as a Barclays service, providing a unified identity platform.
• The SME will be the primary authority on SilverFort architecture, policy design and integration with other services, including escalated support and project enhancements and vendor liaison.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of Access Management and IAM fundamentals, including PAM fundamentals and MFA.
• Deep understanding of SilverFort architecture, agentless MFA and its policies.

Occasional out of hours work may be required depending on business needs.
