QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. * At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in consulting, professional services, or large enterprise environments. * Demonstrable expertise in building data pipelines and cloud data solutions on Azure. * Experience with Microsoft Fabric is strongly preferred. * Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is an advantage. * Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Engineering or related is a plus. Legacy Inventory & Triage Lead the discovery and assessment of approximately 40-50 legacy data sources comprising thousands of tables and jobs. Facilitate structured workshops with business owners to classify assets into Retire, Archive, Deprecate, or Strategize categories.
Business Impact Analysis Analyse and map complex legacy transformation logic to downstream business outcomes, ensuring critical functionality is preserved within the Core Group’s AI-generated migration templates.
Wave Planning
Phase 2: Build & Pilot
Logic Validation Partner with the AI/Automation Lead to validate the accuracy and clarity of GenAI-generated logic explanations, ensuring they are consumable by delivery teams.
Pilot Support Embed with the first migration team to identify onboarding friction points, provide hands-on guidance, and continuously improve documentation and processes.
Phase 3: Scale & Support
UAT Orchestration Act as the primary interface between the Migration Factory and business stakeholders. Plan and manage UAT activities for 50-60 data products across multiple business units.
Defect Triage Assess and triage defects, clearly distinguishing between technical implementation issues and gaps in business logic or requirements.
Stakeholder Sign-off Own the “Ready for Production” sign-off process, ensuring business users have confidence in the accuracy, completeness, and usability of the migrated data.
Technical Competencies
Data Literacy Strong SQL capability with the ability to navigate complex data landscapes and end-to-end data lineage from raw to curated layers.
Platform Knowledge
AI Familiarity Experience using, or a strong desire to learn, Generative AI tools for code analysis, logic interpretation, and automated documentation.
