Your role:
As the Site Reliability Engineer for this product you will establish the SRE processes, to ensure the reliability, availability and performance of client facing services, using tools such as Datadog within an Azure environment.
You’ll lead the design and implementation of automation and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering teams and support functions, acting as an SRE champion for the product and driving adoption of best practices.
You’ll also remain hands-on with proactive monitoring of production and other environments to ensure stability, availability, security and integrity as well as leading incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis to mitigate and prevent future issues.
Location / WFH:
You’ll join the team at the Cambridge office twice a week with flexibility to work from home the other three days.
About you:
You have strong, hands-on experience as a Site Reliability Engineer / SRE or similar role e.g. DevOps, Platform Engineer with SRE responsibilities
You’re collaborative and pragmatic, able to influence others and drive change
You’re happy to mentor and coach others, sharing your SRE expertise with software engineers and DevOps
You have a strong knowledge of Azure including observability, monitoring, scaling, security and Azure DevOps pipelines
You have experience with observability tools, Datadog preferred
You have a good knowledge of automation, scripting (Python or PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, ARM Templates or Bicep)
Azure certifications and C# coding skills desired but not essential
