With hugely exciting growth plans over the coming months this Technical Lead will play a key role in shaping the technical output of the engineering team driving innovation and new product development whilst working with the board to a build a technical roadmap that will form the backbone of organisational growth. This role would suit a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager with hands on system architecture and design capabilities across the Microsoft stack (.Net, C#, Dynamics 365, Power platform etc) with the ability to champion new AI enabled product development. The key responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer role will be:

  • Design, develop, and implement software for industrial control systems within automation, robotics, and machinery environments.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and real-time motion control systems for both hydraulic and electric drive applications.
  • Integrate systems across multiple devices and communication protocols (e.g. industrial Ethernet networks).
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design details, and test procedures.
  • Support commissioning activities at customer sites, including occasional international travel and short-notice assignments.
