Are you ready to be build something extraordinary? At tombola, we’re looking for someone to manage, coordinate and report on programmes of work that overlap multiple areas within tombola.
As a Senior Programme Manager at Tombola, you’ll be the orchestrator of our most ambitious projects, ensuring they’re supported and delivered with precision, while elevating our collaborative style. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create governance, drive innovation, streamline processes, and ensure responsible success for tombola and our players, as we continue to grow at pace.

What will I be doing? 🔎
This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the Director of Strategic Operations and Leadership Team in ensuring that tombola’s strategic programmes and plans are defined and implemented in as effective way as possible. This role will be a core catalyst for delivering change within our operating model and ensuring the leadership team executes the strategy at not just industry-leading, but world-class levels.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast pace, influencing stakeholders at all levels and ensuring accountability and objectivity in programme planning & reporting.
They will be highly independent and work with passion and drive, demonstrating consistently positive behaviours which include influencing colleagues of all levels in the organisation. They will also be comfortable operating in environments with significant amounts of change and ambiguity for sustained periods.
The successful candidate will have excellent programme management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to productively challenge stakeholders across the organisation, at any level. The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively will be important for success.
What will I be doing? (But in bullet points) 🧐
Running LT and Steering meetings – the attendees of which will be members of the tombola Leadership team and key stakeholders
Support the Director of Strategic Operations in the development, tracking and organisation of the key projects
Provide support to workstream leads when required on critical deliverables
Provide challenge to workstream leads as required
Escalate issues early to ensure swift resolution and share / celebrate programme achievements
Develop and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within the programme, particularly the workstream leads who are critical stakeholders in the programme
Ensure seamless sharing of information between stakeholders
Act as a catalyst for effective alignment between groups: help expose needs, interdependencies, limitations and constraints as well as addressing any silo-d approaches
Ensure all workstreams within the programme are effectively represented in the plans
Ensure all actions are documented and delivered, with stakeholders at all levels
Leads cross-functional teams to ensure planning milestones are completed on time and to agreed standards across the programme
Contribute to the programme status report working closely with the TM
Lead compiling programme updates to broader UKI and Flutter stakeholders
Lead a culture that values collaboration, experimentation, creativity and engagement, while also maintaining keen diligence on accountabilities, costs, budgets and performance vs business case.
Hold and manage central progress data on all strategic initiatives
Possess the ability to envision the whole and to inspire non-direct teams to deliver on new approaches. Must be able to bring the strands of multiple disparate projects and initiatives together to create full progress view on our strategic progress as a whole.
Act as a project critic in the room, ensuring all opportunities and approaches are covered, all stakeholders considered, decisions are disciplined and data-led and operational execution is expertly planned.
What sort of things would we expect you to know, or to have been part of before? 🏁
Awareness of Agile delivery methodologies
Knowledge of Atlassian project management tools (JIRA/Confluence)
Some knowledge of technology governance processes like cyber, data protection and change management
Previous experience in a technology led environment
Previous experience in digital B2C or B2B business
Previous people manager experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and building cross-functional collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Highly comfortable presenting and influencing to senior stakeholders.

Travel is not essential for this role, but there may be some requirement to travel to Dublin or Gibraltar ad hoc
