We are creating two new UK engineering teams in London Victoria and Burgess Hill and are looking for two Senior Engineers to lead the most innovative, forward-thinking teams with a growth mindset and an appetite for challenging our approach to software development. If you are open-minded, willing to learn and passionate about building software using great engineering practices then we want to talk to you.
These new teams will be using a variety of tech stacks and working with code, data, and configuration to rapidly deploy capabilities across EMEA markets to fill critical market needs using an inner source model. The Senior Engineers will be experienced in leading teams of software engineers and have a curiosity for diving into new codebases and working in a variety of technologies to power and protect the growth of our International Card Services business.
When considering whether an Engineer is a great fit for our team, we won’t focus solely on languages used or experience, but their ability to think creatively, approach problems with an intelligent mindset, and above all their passion to Make Stuff Happen! We are looking for good communicators who feel comfortable reaching out to other teams and working through problems in a collaborative way.
Our Senior Engineers will need to demonstrate experience and a deep knowledge of our key leadership behaviours: Set the Agenda, Bring Others With You and Do it the Right Way.
As part of our diverse tech team, you can architect, code and ship software that makes us an essential part of our customers’ digital lives. Here, you can work alongside talented engineers in an open, supportive, inclusive environment where your voice is valued, and you make your own decisions on what tech to use to solve challenging problems. Amex offers a range of opportunities to work with the latest technologies and encourages you to back the broader engineering community through open source. And because we understand the importance of keeping your skills fresh and relevant, we give you dedicated time to invest in your professional development. Find your place in technology on #TeamAmex.
