Description
Cyberhawk has a number of opportunities for Full Stack Software Engineers with strong PHP and Laravel skills to join our flexible, people focussed company. We use drones and our iHawk software to keep people out of danger and reduce the carbon footprint of our energy and large capital project clients.
About our Engineer opportunities:
We are a flexible in relation to working arrangements. You can either work remotely or hybridly depending on what suits you best. As a tech team, we usually gather to collaborate for a day or so every 3 months (expensed) at our UK HQ near Edinburgh.
You will be joining our iHawk product team working on our cloud-based application. We are a mixed skill product team working across multiple languages. We are continually doing new and interesting work. We work with cutting edge technologies and like to implement our learning. There is lots of opportunity for bringing ideas and collaborating plus the chance to mentor others if wished. We give everyone a large amount of responsibility and autonomy so you can make a big impact.
Our tech environment:
You do not need to have experience across our whole stack, this just gives you an idea of what we use and what you can learn:
-Environment: PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React, React Native, SQL (MySQL and maria DB), AWS, Azure, Docker, Git & Git Actions, AWS SQS, MapBox and 3D visualisation with ThreeJS and Cesium.
Design patterns / Important areas: Microservices, Security, Scalability, Usability, Cloud Native, Performance, CI/CD.
Methodologies: Agile, User Centred Design.
You would be a good fit for our roles if you are:
Someone who takes ownership, responsibility and pride in their work.
A good problem solver who is able to bring ideas and discuss with colleagues.
A strong strong PHP developer with Laravel experience who enjoys working on interesting and challenging applications.
Solid JavaScript skills are a plus (If you want to learn React, we can help you do that).
AWS / Azure or similar cloud experience.
