Description
Hybrid requirements: This role has flexible working patterns.
We are looking for a keen AI Engineer with a passion for building world-class predictive models to transform the world of marine insurance.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and implement machine learning solutions for maritime analytics.
Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models and maintain performance.
Build and optimise predictive models for vessel performance and condition monitoring.
Participate in data analysis and feature engineering to improve model accuracy.
Follow and implement best practices in ML ops and model deployment.
Work with the data science team to identify and leverage patterns in maritime datasets.
Requirements:
Strong experience in machine learning and statistical modelling.
Experience deploying ML models in production environments.
Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
Knowledge of time series analysis and anomaly detection.
Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to team members.
Passion for solving complex problems with messy, real-world data.
Desirable:
Experience with large-scale sensor data and real-time analytics.
Understanding of physics and mechanical principles.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
Experience with Azure ML.
Expertise in signal processing and condition monitoring.
Startup experience or experience in fast-paced environments.
