Description
Hybrid requirements: This role has flexible working patterns.
We are looking for an experienced machine learning engineer with a passion for building world-class predictive models to lead a team of data scientists.
Main Responsibilities:
Own, design, build, and implement sophisticated AI solutions.
Work closely with engineering teams to productionise models and optimise performance.
Lead and mentor the data science team in developing cutting-edge predictive models.
Work with the CTO to drive the data science strategy and roadmap, identifying under-exploited areas in datasets.
Champion best practices in data science methodology and ML ops, upholding standards across the team.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in machine learning and statistical modelling.
Proven experience building and deploying ML models into production environments, including CI/CD proficiency.
Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
Strong knowledge of time series analysis and anomaly detection.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts to various stakeholders.
Proven experience owning data science initiatives.
Excited about solving complex problems with messy, real-world data.
Desirable:
Experience with large-scale sensor data and real-time analytics.
Solid understanding of physics and mechanical principles.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and platforms such as Azure ML and Databricks.
Expertise in signal processing and condition monitoring.
Previous experience in startups or fast-paced environments.
