Location: Telford- Hybrid Job Description: We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Java Engineer to join our dynamic team working on high-impact ITSA quarterly releases. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing and strategically important service within a secure and fast-paced environment.
As part of our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust microservices using modern Java frameworks. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions that support live services.
Please note: Due to the nature of the work, SC Clearance is required to participate in ITSD Live Services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable Java-based microservices.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other engineers to deliver quarterly ITSA releases.
Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
Contribute to deployment and monitoring strategies using container orchestration tools.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework (including Spring Boot).
Experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
Familiarity with Git for version control and Swagger for API documentation.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Proficiency in Shell Scripting, SQL, and working with MongoDB.
Desirable Attributes

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Security Clearance
SC Clearance is mandatory for this role. Candidates must either hold current clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
