Role Overview: We're on the hunt for a Senior Digital Design Lead based in Leeds, driving creative and strategic direction across branding, UX, mobile apps, and digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in tech/design consultancies and ownership of end-to-end design from discovery to developer handoff. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Design Leadership: Define and champion user-centred design principles and methodologies across projects - Stakeholder Engagement: Plan and facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to align business goals with user needs - Mentorship: Guide and inspire design team; foster continuous improvement and learning - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with developers and project managers to ensure design quality and project efficiency - Operational Excellence: Oversee detailed and adaptable design systems throughout the project lifecycle - Thought Leadership: Represent the design practice internally and externally; share expertise and stay updated on industry trends Skills & Expertise: - Strong balance of leadership and hands-on design execution - Expertise in branding, visual communication, UX, and UI (ideally Figma) - Deep understanding of user-centred design, content strategy, and information architecture - Skilled in creating and testing visual prototypes - Adept at working within constraints and maintaining design quality - Experienced in presenting to senior stakeholders - Proficient in typography, layout, and composition with strong attention to detail - Learning mindset and commitment to staying current with trends - Able to adapt or develop brand guidelines - Interest/experience with low-code tools like Webflow - Commercial awareness and ability to balance business, client, and user needs Company benefits: - Private medical healthcare (Bupa) - 4% matched pension - Hybrid, flexible working - Hack days & professional development days - City centre office - 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + up to 5 loyalty days - Team events - Enhanced maternity & paternity leave - 2 streaming services subsidised
