At AWS, our engineers design and support the tools and software that power the world’s largest cloud infrastructure. We’re looking for a Systems Development Engineer to help automate and scale the network that keeps AWS running.
You’ll work on internal systems that support our network engineers — building tools, solving real-world problems, and helping keep our services fast and reliable. You’ll join a collaborative, agile team in a startup-like environment, with the resources and impact of a global tech leader.
What You’ll Do:
Build and improve tools to automate and monitor AWS’s global network
Troubleshoot issues and create long-term solutions to prevent them recurring
Simplify complex systems and processes for better reliability and efficiency
Deliver technical solutions that support our massive, global infrastructure
Continuously learn and grow in a fast-paced, inclusive environment

Basic Qualifications:
Experience in software development, systems engineering, DevOps, or SRE
Understanding of network and system fundamentals (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, Linux)
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C++, Go, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python
Experience with cloud-based systems (AWS or other platforms)
