We are looking for an Agile Champion with a University Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical subject areas, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred. Agile Champion and other relevant certification a plus.
We have 20+ scrum teams on our Phoenix campus. Each team is made up of 6-9 colleagues and may include an agile champion, product owner, engineers and quality engineers. Teams may also have members located in virtual locations across the USA and in India. Depending on the specific team, we operate Scrum or Kanban using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
We are constantly striving to improve and hold regular agile ceremonies to inspect and adapt the ways we work together. Our ultimate aims are to reduce time to market, improve code quality and build world-class global products.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Responsibilities:
Facilitates Agile events that help the Engineering team deliver value incrementally and iteratively
Supports the Program Increment (PI) execution through facilitating team level events and partners with the RTE
Supports the team in achieving the PI objectives
Supports Product Owners through backlog refinement, backlog readiness, definition of ready/done and support writing user stories
Supports coordination across Team of Teams (Agile Release Train (ART)/Release Train Engineer (RTE))
Supports, monitors, and provides visibility around gaps, impediments, risks, and dependencies
Fosters practices for identifying, tracking, discussing and resolving cross-team dependencies within the team, taking ownership of a dependency in some circumstances
Manages and organizes delivery effectiveness metrics to track progress and improvement over time
Leadership and Coaching:
Understand and demonstrate the Agile at Scale Values and Principles
Encourage diversity of thought and demonstrate an open mindset
Foster a culture of trust and leadership in others
Supports a learning culture to drive continuous improvements and standardization
Respectfully and purposefully challenge the status quo
Supports collaboration and quality practices between Agile and product teams
Ensure compliance with SDLC standards across the team
Ensures data integrity for the teams within the Agile Management tools and compliance with SDLC audits
Influences team without authority; engages Sr. Agile Champions and Agile Coaches to motivate change and influence beyond own influence and authority
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technology related subject area or equivalent experience preferred
Up to 5 years of relevant experience with a demonstrated record of accomplishment of growing responsibility
Experience participating in Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams is preferred
