Operational Infrastructure Engineer

Description
Hybrid requirements: This role has flexible working patterns.
Purpose: Responsible for tombola’s internal infrastructure, providing 3rd Line support, and architecting future technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise: Manage server hardware, operating systems (Windows & Linux), virtualization (VMware), network technologies (Cisco/FortiSwitch), firewalls (FortiGate), wireless solutions (Meraki), LAN/WAN connectivity, identity solutions (Okta/EntraID), Active Directory, Office 365 hybrid architecture, backup & recovery solutions.
Support: Provide application and hardware support for Exchange, Active Directory, Office 365, system backups, antivirus solutions, security solutions (SIEM), network administration, virtualization technologies, UPS maintenance, database management, end-user applications.
Service Improvements: Proactively identify and implement service improvements, manage bespoke in-house software, oversee information security administration, IT infrastructure procurement, software management, maintenance and warranty control, IT service delivery continuity, disaster recovery model, change management & documentation, patch and vulnerability management.
Experience & Skills:
Experience: Minimum 3 years in infrastructure and 2nd/3rd Line support roles, expertise in technical design, administration, and implementation of enterprise networks, VMware administration, Active Directory administration, firewall administration, Office 365, server hardware and software infrastructure, automation, Dell hardware, IDP administration, SAN/storage architecture.
Skills: Proficient in operating system management, cloud technologies, automation and scripting, storage and backup management, disaster recovery planning, Office 365 administration, problem-solving, change control, project management, patch management, security protocols, server and desktop imaging, hardware and software networking principles, Cisco device management, virtualization, firewall UTM administration.
