We have an exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure Team as an Infrastructure Engineer to help us drive stability and improvements to IT Infrastructure while we continue to push forward with next-gen cloud technology and automation.
Responsibilities:
Operational support of the Infrastructure carrying out 2nd and 3rd line analysis of incidents and problems
Engaging with relevant 3rd party support to assist with incident resolution
Resolution, Root Cause Analysis, Impact Analysis, and Escalation should be carried out in a timely manner with detailed documentation in the ticketing platform
Ensure compliance and operation within all company controls and security standards
Assist with Projects and Infrastructure Delivery
Proactively driving automation of infrastructure tasks to guarantee the outcome of repeatable tasks
Identify improvements to existing processes ensuring that, with agreement, these improvements are implemented in line with standards
Service improvement through best practices and new and innovative technologies
Ensure consistency and quality of the service so that all support tickets are progressed in line with operational service levels
Review and approve changes in line with the Change Management Process
Implement, maintain, and test DR services as required
Update documentation, policies, and procedures as well as ensuring that they are followed
Cover on-call for 1 week out of 4 per month
Requirements:
Proven Production Support or Project Delivery experience
Proven ability to document and explain designs
Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
Expert knowledge in:
Windows Server OS (2016–2022)
Full Windows Stack including DHCP, DNS, AD
Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, Rocky)
Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Azure Stack (Compute, Networking, Azure Active Directory)
Hyper-V
Proven support experience in:
VMWare
NetApp
System Center
Cisco (Routers and Switches)
Microsoft SQL
IaC Technologies (Ansible, Terraform)
Understanding of security in relation to network, server, applications, data, and databases
Desirable experience:
PCI-DSS compliance
Proficient in PowerShell Scripting, Bash Scripting, or Python
Windows Storage Spaces and Storage Spaces Direct
HPE Hardware
Design of Highly Available Systems
Delivering projects and solutions from inception to completion
Experience with software products: zScaler, CrowdStrike, SIEM, Solarwinds, Zabbix, Grafana, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
