BIP supports B2B & International payments, one of the fastest growing segments of our business. We are looking for a high performing and enthusiastic Senior Engineer to join Buyer Initiated Payments (BIP) in GCS at American Express in Burgess Hill.
This is a great opportunity to join a high-visibility, high-priority Engineering team and help sustain and accelerate the growth of GCS charge volume by taking an innovative and collaborative approach to modernize the tech stack in partnership with key stakeholders.
In this role, you will partner closely with our product owners within collaborative scrum teams, in an environment that values interesting technical challenges, using best practice design approaches.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Performs all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including architecture, design, writing code and unit tests, and conducting code reviews.
Analyse business features and user stories and refine with the Product Owner to appropriately support design and build activities.
Help to lead front end web development and work closely with back-end and other front-end engineers to implement versatile solutions.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
Provide technical leadership and contribute to architectural decisions.
Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
