What we’re looking for you to bring to the role:
Proficient in Object Oriented Programming, with expertise in the C# .NET stack preferred. Experience in other languages such as Java or Python is also valuable.
Experienced in working with relational databases, with strong proficiency in SQL.
Demonstrated experience focusing on algorithms and data structures, with a strong ability to design and analyse algorithms.
Strong understanding of algorithm design and analysis, with a proven track record of implementing efficient solutions.
Expertise in performance optimisation, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and speed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of tackling complex technical tasks.
Experience in handling large scale data processing and working with distributed systems.
In depth knowledge of parallelism, threading, and concurrent programming, with practical experience in these areas.
Proven ability to build high performing, low latency solutions capable of processing large volumes of data efficiently.

Salary
£60,000 - £99,000

Where you’ll work
This role requires 4 days per week in Newcastle upon Tyne. However, everyone at Opencast splits their time between multiple locations, including from our HQ and hub locations, client site or home. Travel is part of life at Opencast, and takes in account requirements of your work, our clients and your team.
