Description
In this role, you will make a meaningful contribution in ensuring we continue to move in the right direction. You will be working on a variety of exciting technologies. Our application code is written using:
Typescript / React / React-Native
State management (Redux, React Query, Backbone)
CSS / CSS modules
Git / Gitlab / Gitlab CI
Docker / Kubernetes / AWS
Your application will be deployed through automated pipelines in CI/CD and monitored using a set of Business and Tech observability tools.
About the Role:
Tech Leadership: Guide a cross-functional squad, collaborating to deliver incremental, meaningful changes to our customers while keeping the longer-term vision in mind.
Architectural Vision: Shape the architectural vision of our frontend applications and draft a strategy to realise that vision.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for the team to improve their delivery capabilities, focusing on raising the bar for quality, security, and reducing system complexity.
Operational Excellence: Assist in the running and maintenance of your team’s applications in production.
Team Development: Play a key role in the development and growth of team members. Understand what motivates them to provide the right amount of support and guidance.
Short/Mid-term Focus: Join the team which is currently responsible for a substantial modernization of the Architecture and Technology stack of one of our Product. Align with the Tech and Product leadership group, incorporate Tech aspects and Business context in the design of the solutions and guide the team in the execution phase.
About You:
Technical Proficiency: Experienced with our tech stack and quick to learn new technologies.
Technical Design & Complex Systems: Recognize good technical design and ensure quality is embedded in the software development process. Experienced in working with intricate and multifaceted systems, involving various interconnected components and advanced technologies.
Strategic Vision & Long-term Initiatives: Ability to outline and implement a tech strategy supported by the ability to investigate and analyse deeply, looking for objective evidence and data to inform conclusions. Comfortable with long-term projects, demonstrating patience, persistence, and a strategic mindset.
Agile Experience: Proven experience in a high-performing, autonomous Agile development team that delivers continuously.
Communication Skills: Excellent communicator, capable of producing presentations, documents, and artefacts suitable for a remote-first environment. Enjoy working as part of a vocal, passionate team.
