Hybrid requirements: This role has flexible working patterns.
We are looking for a talented Wordpress Developer who will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development of the global Ohme website, creating a user-friendly, highly converting online customer experience.
Requirements
What we need from you:
Meeting with internal stakeholders to discuss website design, function and requirements
Designing and building the website front-end, including the implementation of themes and plugins
Creating and maintaining the website architecture and security infrastructure
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
Conducting website performance tests; optimising loading speeds, fixing issues, and updating relevant website content
Proactively manage search engine optimisation (SEO) and work with the global Marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed when creating new content for the website
Troubleshooting content and technical issues
Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the live website; website traffic, dwell times, conversion rates
Keep the wider team up to date with website best practice.
Who you are:
At least 3 years’ experience in Wordpress development
Good understanding of website architecture, security, and aesthetics
Experience in the following languages/frameworks:
PHP 8 - with an appreciation of both functional and object-orientated methods of programming
HTML/CSS
Sass
Familiarity with Github
