Hello, we’re SURI (Sustainable Rituals) -we’re on a mission to make personal care more enjoyable and sustainable, one daily ritual at a time.
For like-minded individuals who already believe in the power of sustainable choices, we aim to create personal care products that are more sustainable, beautiful, and convenient alternatives. We seek to continually push the boundaries of what is possible and invite honest conversation on our collective journey.
We launched our first product, an award-winning sustainable sonic electric toothbrush, in 2022, and have sold to nearly 200k customers, across Europe US . Along the way, we have received many awards (Red Dot Design Award, DeZeen People’s Choice Award, Amazon Innovations Awards, Fast Company Most Innovative CPG Company, and more) and great organic press coverage (Wired, Monocle, The Times, The Independent, GQ, and more).
Our business has been growing quickly in the last 24 months since launch. We are searching for a full-time Sustainability & Operations Manager to join our team to help us to continue to improve reducing our footprint across all areas of the business.
In addition to managing our partnerships (B-Corps, ClimatePartner and FuturePlus), you will be responsible for the operations of implementing our recycling and refurbishment schemes (in multiple geographies), keeping up to date with the latest news within the industry, being the guardian and approver for all claims across packaging, marketing and advertising materials and for suggesting improvements within product innovation.

Role & Responsibilities:
-Build upon and manage our overall sustainability strategy
-Lead the collection of data, analysis and reporting including managing 3rd party suppliers, including B-Corp, ClimatePartner, FuturePlus.
-Lead the operations and compliance of return, recycle and re-use of our products for each of the markets we operate in and develop a methodology for how we scale this for new market entries.
-Understand the global landscape and implications of material, product and packaging developments for SURI
-Oversee any claims related to sustainability and act as approver to all other teams
-Work with all functions to ensure we quantify the impact of our decisions e.g. for supply chain using a different transport method would cost X and result in Y
-Work with Operations and Product to develop a robust and right size process to audit our supply chains
Requirements
-You are passionate about sustainability
-You have a minimum 2 years experience working in operations and/or sustainability
-A background in engineering would be preferable
-You understand how to drive and support culture change in an organisation and upskill teams on material sustainability topics
-Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvement
-You are able to develop a strategy and the stepping stones to achieve it
-You are commercially aware of decisions to the bottom line
