As a Graduate PHP Software Engineer at Plentific, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our platform to deliver innovative solutions in the real estate sector. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of our PHP-based applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and scalability.
You will be developing and maintaining Drupal based websites and systems as part of our award winning multi-disciplinary team of developers, designers and product managers.
We build systems of all kinds across the local government and social housing sectors, meaning every project that you work on will provide its own unique challenges. These projects are used by a large number of people across the UK to help manage their tenancies. You will work daily with members of the project management team as well as other developers.
We maintain a friendly working environment and provide you with all the tools you’ll need to learn, develop, test and deploy code of the highest quality.
This is a remote position based anywhere in the UK and you have the choice of either working from home, from either of our offices or a mixture of both. We are open to both local and nationwide applicants but occasional travel to Warrington will be required.
Responsibilities
Contribute to streams of work, including entire resident portals.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that client business needs are met through the software that we develop.
Ensure that you follow best coding practices, documentation, code reviews, unit and integration testing throughout all software developed.
Implement robust and scalable solutions to support Plentific’s growing user base and business needs.
Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.
Support the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments.

Skills
A self-starter who is keen to learn and develop, accepts direction and feedback from co-workers and managers
Attention to detail when building resilient software
Amenable to learning other systems and frameworks and contributing to the wider team’s efforts
Excellent communication skills in English
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development fundamentals.
Proficiency in PHP and experience with PHP frameworks.
Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
