We’re looking for a passionate, experienced React Native developer to take us to the next level. Someone with the tenacity to quickly build MVPs, but also the competence to build reliable, production-ready apps that serve our many givers and partners.
Main responsibilities
To include, but not limited to:
Architect and build React Native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms
Lead and deliver technical projects
Work closely with designers and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Write code that encourages reusability, flexibility and reliability
Help design the APIs to support our apps
Automate as much of the testing and deployment of apps as possible using CD/CI
Help customer support and QA identify and fix bugs
Help shape wider understanding of React across our other technical teams
Help hire, manage and mentor any future app developers

We recognise that to be great at your role, there are certain characteristics that are important and others that enable a good fit within our existing team and culture.
Strong experience building React Native apps for iOS and Android
Experience collaborating with product teams, designers, back-end engineers to build apps that users love
Experience leading and delivering technical projects
Experience consuming and ideally specifying RESTful APIs
An understanding of the main differences between Android and iOS ecosystems
An aptitude to learn new methodologies, tools and frameworks
You will be a practicing Christian and be able to clearly demonstrate a personal commitment to the mission, principles, values and practices contained in our Ethos Statement. You should also be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the Christian purposes of the organisation and a readiness to support and contribute to its ethos.
