Responsibilities:
Recruit, develop, and mentor excellent software, systems, and reliability engineering and IT talent and promote best practices in software engineering, systems administration, and operations.
Design and implement security policies in service of Anthropic’s mission to deploy AI securely.
Develop and drive the strategic vision for Anthropic’s IT environment and corporate engineering needs.
Lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for managing infrastructure, access, security, communications, collaboration tools, business applications, data integrations, and workflows.
Partner with departmental leaders across the company to understand their systems and integration needs and ensure optimal solutions.
Oversee complex integrations across our stack - from infrastructure to applications - to create seamless systems.
Continuously monitor health of infrastructure and applications, optimize performance, and develop capacity plans.
Maintain 99.9% uptime and high-availability of critical systems.
Ensure all IT solutions meet security and compliance requirements.
Manage relationships with key vendors and negotiate contracts. Control costs through prudent decision making.
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 15+ years managing software or security engineering teams and enterprise IT environments
Have experience earlier in your career as a software engineer or security engineer
Have experience in an executive role
Have expertise overseeing complex infrastructure and application stacks, integrations and data pipelines
Have experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure
Possess leadership skills to collaborate, influence and drive consensus across the organization
