To be successful in the role, you will likely have experience of the following:
Experience with Linux systems
Writing automated tests with Python
Understanding techniques such as TDD and BDD
Ideally experience testing products with embedded software

Based in Tewkesbury, the role is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester & Stroud, plus they have a number of people commuting in from Bristol. The office is based just off the M5 and there is free parking on-site. The company operate a hybrid working environment, where you will generally need to be in the office 1-2 days a week (although this could be more depending on the project).The role requires eligibility for DV clearance (prior clearance is not required)

Creating and running product validation and durability testing procedures.
Perform failure analysis, fatigue and environmental testing, with clear reporting.
Design, build or source mechanical and environmental test rigs for internal and supplier use.
Establish quality standards and test documentation across all product categories.
Oversee supplier quality, including incoming inspections, audits and corrective actions.
Work closely with Design, Production and Supply Chain teams to embed quality throughout.
Enhance QC systems, improve measurement accuracy, and develop traceability methods.
This is what you’ll need
Background or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
Experience in quality, test or validation engineering.
Knowledge of mechanical testing, rig design and data capture.
Practical problem solver, comfortable with CAD and hands-on engineering tools.
Experience working with global manufacturing partners and managing supplier quality.
Motivated by precision, reliability and continually improving product performance.
Knowledge of or enthusiasm for manufacturing processes such as forging, stamping, machining, welding, extrusion and HF welding.
