Confident in managing a service route of around 5060 units in the Southampton area.

We are seeking a Test & Validation Engineer to join a leading technology company specialising in advanced electro-optical systems in Andover, Hampshire. In this role, you will ensure that systems meet stringent quality and performance standards through comprehensive testing and validation. You will play a key part in acceptance testing, fault diagnosis and supporting customer demonstrations both in the UK and internationally. This is a full-time office based role offering a salary of £38,000 and you will need to be eligible for UK Security Clearance.Responsibilities of this Test & Validation Engineer role:

Perform test and validation of complex electro-optical systems.

The Opportunity:We are seeking a highly capable Systems Technician with a strong electronic background and hands-on experience working with technical systems.The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating standard workshop test equipment, following structured procedures, and assisting with system diagnostics to board level.You will have the ability to conduct comprehensive testing on electronic components create step by step test documentation.Training will be provided to cover any gaps in IT knowledge, but a working understanding of various aspects of IT, including traditional IP Networks, troubleshooting software and fault-finding hardware issues would be highly beneficial.Skills and Experience:

A background in testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting electronics at board level

A solid understanding of system-level interactions and basic circuit behaviour

Experience of creating step by step test documents

A keen interest or exposure to dealing with software issues (operating systems, config files)

Experience use key electronic test equipment, including:

Digital Voltmeter (DVM)

Bench Power Supply (PSU)

Oscilloscope
