What Youll Be Doing:
Carrying out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance
Fault finding on electrical systems, motors, sensors, and control equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on conveyors, gearboxes, and production lines
Supporting production to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
Troubleshooting breakdowns quickly and effectively
Identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities
Recording maintenance activities and equipment performance
What Were Looking For:
Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, or multi-skilled engineer
Strong mechanical bias with electrical fault-finding skills
Background in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or transferable environments
Comfortable working Panama shifts (days and nights)
Proactive, problem-solving approach to maintenance
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred

We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join our Kier Design team based in Norwich. You’ll be working within Kier’s 750-strong internal consultancy, Kier Design, supporting the delivery of Civil & Structural Infrastructure Engineering related services. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of complex projects by providing solutions which are safe and buildable whilst achieving clients’ goals.
