As a Workshop Service Engineer for Nationwide Platforms you will work within a busy depot to inspect, repair and maintain our machines ensuring that they are ready for use by our customers. Our machines are powered access machines such as booms and scissor lifts but don’t worry full training will be given. So, providing you have a great attitude and are willing to learn plus have some mechanical/ electrical engineering experience behind you then this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities include: -

Support the Senior Service Engineer in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region.

Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot as required, and in conformance with manufacturer’s specification, company policy and the regulations affecting the use. Ensure that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine. Notify appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment.

Repair machines at depot or on site as required to ensure conformance with manufactures specification and company policy.

To complete planned maintenance activities including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard.

Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with safe machine operation in accordance with company procedures.

Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times. Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required.

Accurately complete all relevant paperwork including engineer’s report, off hire, pre/delivery inspection and service sheets.

Update system on machine status change i.e. PDI carried out, Machine under repair, 6 monthly statutory Inspection completed.

About you: -

Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.

Have a mature outlook and the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.

What Are We Looking For?

Our Chemical & Biological Treatment platform are looking to hire an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis. Working as part of an established multi-disciplinary design function, you will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.

Some of your key duties include:

Developing industry leading electrical and instrumentation/control concept and detailed designs.

Depot Engineer - Newport - Monday to Friday - 08:00- 16:30 42 hours per week

R&D Engineer - Lab Filtration

Rate: Negotiable (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)

Duration: 12 Months

Role Summary

The R&D Contingent Engineer will provide hands-on mechanical engineering expertise to support the development, validation, and transfer of new and existing lab filtration products. The role focuses on prototype development, design verification, manufacturing readiness, and technical problem-solving in a regulated life sciences environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in the development and validation of new and existing products
Conduct feasibility studies, design verification, and performance testing
Support prototype design, fabrication, and iterative development
Lead and contribute to design reviews for new product development (NPD)
Develop 2D/3D CAD models using SolidWorks
Support manufacturing transfer, process validation, and supplier engagement
Prepare technical reports and product documentation
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
3-5 years’ experience in R&D or engineering in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with plastics engineering and injection moulding
Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills

Cardiff (Hybrid - 3 days onsite a week) £50,000 - £65,000 (Dependent on experience) Were looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a fast-moving technical team and support the development of next-generation hardware products. Youll work across the full electronics lifecycle - from concept, simulation and PCB design to debugging, validation and EMC compliance. This role suits someone hands-on, collaborative, and confident in high-density, high-speed circuit design. Key Responsibilities Review, analyse and improve electronic prototypes Design and implement new electronics for upcoming products Debug and tune PCB hardware (bench, lab, and in-vehicle) Lead root-cause analysis and design improvements Develop and maintain test, research and validation methods Execute validation plans and verify electrical systems Create prototype PCBs/microsystems for in-house testing Manage EMC reviews and work with specialist labs What Youll Bring Degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or similar 7-10 years relevant engineering experience Strong experience in testing & debugging Full product lifecycle experience from concept to mass production Strong schematic capture & PCB design (Altium or similar) High-speed / high-density board design experience EMC compliance and testing knowledge Strong troubleshooting skills in a lab environment Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork Ability to work in fast-paced, global project environments Willingness to travel internationally a few times per year (around 10 days at a time) Bonus: Video tech experience, RF/antenna design, impedance matching, DDR/MIPI/SERDES/USB/PCIe/HDMI experience. Hours Full-time | Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:30 (37.5 hrs) \*Flexitime - Flexible working hours when working in the office. Start between: 7-10am, Finish between: 3-6pm. Team members are expected to be present for any meeting between these times. Ability to accrue up to 8 hours flexi time.
