As a workshop-based HGV Technician you will work within a busy depot as part of a team to inspect, repair and maintain our HGV and light commercial vehicles. Automation & Metallics Engineer
Broughton | Onsite12-month contract (Inside IR35)
35 hours (4.5-day week)£28.71 PAYE / £38.40 Umbrella + paid overtime
An opportunity to join a high-technology manufacturing environment at the forefront of automated assembly and robotics. This role supports the deployment and development of advanced automated machinery used in complex, precision-critical structures.
You’ll work within a specialist manufacturing technologies team, contributing to both new automation projects and the ongoing support of existing equipment. The technology spans large robotic systems through to lightweight and collaborative solutions.
The Role
You’ll support automated assembly processes including drilling, fastening, cold-working and sealing, playing a key role in defining new machinery, improving automated processes, and providing technical support. The role also includes project involvement and ensuring equipment is introduced in line with relevant safety and machinery regulations.
Your Background
This position is experience-driven. You’ll have a strong background in automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing, along with solid problem-solving skills and confidence working in a production environment. Experience with engineering data, analysis tools, and managing stakeholders is highly beneficial. NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
