Lets be honest
If youve been in the same garage for the last 510 years, doing the same jobs, on the same ramp, with the same people youll know exactly how this feels.
Same services.
Same brakes.
Same routine.
Day in, day out.
Thats not what we do.
At Transpennine Garage Equipment, no two days are the same.
One day you might be fault-finding an emissions analyser.
Next day youre servicing a brake tester.
Then youre on a lift repair or carrying out a LOLER inspection.
Youre out on the road.
Different sites.
Different challenges.
This isnt parts swapping this is proper engineering.
Were a small company, and thats exactly how we like it.
No layers of management.
No corporate nonsense.
No being treated like a number.
Weve grown year on year purely through word of mouth and doing a good job. Thats it.
If you do good work here, it gets noticed.
The Role:
Service, repair and calibration of garage equipment
Vehicle lifts, brake testers, emissions equipment, etc.
Fault finding and problem solving on-site
Travelling to customer sites (main dealers, independents, MOT stations)
What Were Looking For:
You might already be in garage equipment
Or you might be:
A mechanic
An MOT tester
Someone whos just had enough of being stuck in the same place every day
What matters more is how you think:
You can figure things out
You take pride in your work
You dont need someone stood over your shoulder
You actually want to get better at what you do
What This Job Isn’t:
Lets be clear this isnt for everyone.
If you want an easy, repetitive job
If you like clocking in and switching off
If you dont like being pushed a bit
This probably isnt for you.
What You Get:
Proper variety in your work
Independence and trust
A chance to become a true specialist, not just a fitter
A company that actually values good engineers
If youre ready to get out of the same four walls and do something a bit more interesting
Get in touch.
