Your Role
As a Multiskilled Shift Technician, you will help to support the Container Division Engineering team at the Port of Liverpool by ensuring day-to-day maintenance functions operate safely and efficiently, providing operational areas and the port estate an on-time service.
You will carry out Planned Preventative and Corrective Maintenance tasks, as delegated by the Engineering Shift Managers (ESMs) and Senior Crane Lead Engineer, in an effective and safe manner for all Ship to Shore and Cantilever Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (STS and CRMGs) and associated equipment, across the at the Port. The Maintenance tasks which you will cover will be of both an Electrical and Mechanical nature. All electrical work is required to meet the clients Electrical Safety Rules.
The position is based on a 4 on/4 off, 12-hour shift pattern.
What you’ll bring
You will be qualified to a minimum HNC (or equivalent) level in Mechatronics or hold both an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering qualification, as well as: * Previous experience working on PLC’s, motors/controls, variable speed drives, as well as electrical installation works, maintenance repair and replacement of electrical infrastructure. * Fault finding and repair experience, with an understanding of permit to work systems and accident reporting. * You will be willing and able to multi-skill (Electrical and Mechanical), with knowledge of effective maintenance strategies i.e. RCM, PM, CBM and TPM. * You will be willing and able to work at heights, confined spaces and in dirty/dusty environments.

Job description:
We are looking to recruit a Lift and Escalators Service Engineer to join our Team working in the North West of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for the carrying out of planned preventative maintenance regimes as determined by the contract terms on portfolio lift/escalator equipment for the North Region and Scotland. They will also be responsible for the completion of Schindler safety inspections and closure of any open non-conformity to current legislation or standards., improvement of equipment condition to improve the time between technical call-backs and reduce lift/escalator equipment downtime. Works will also include minor repair work and the lifecycle replacement of components. Adherence to all company safety and conduct procedures. They will also be expected to cover the ’on call’ rota for out of hours calls, maintenance and repairs.
