Challenge processes, methods and ways of working to ensure best overall delivery to Time, Cost and Quality

Approve and Authorise F&DT/Structural Analysis documentation, providing assurance of its Quality and Safety.

As an experienced member of the team you will support the development of others by mentoring, giving energy to the team and creating a sense of purpose.

Promote and take personal action to deliver on commitments and strengthen customer focus.

Ensure consistency and share lessons between work streams including communication with other Principal Engineers.

Lead the functional F&DT team to adhere to processes, methods & tools (PMT).

Act as the first point of contact with HoE for the F&DT skill.

Work with the other domain Principals and HoE to define and deliver the product strategy.

Provide support through your delegated authority and act as point of escalation where appropriate

The position requires a good balance between a high technical expertise in the M&P metallic technologies, manufacturing processes and testing in general and some managerial skills.

Experience in Engineering, with proven experience in metallic Materials and Processes and knowledge in component assembly and surface treatment technologies, NDT.

Experience to support technically new material supplier qualifications and developments.

Ability to technically lead projects in an international and interdisciplinary environment across different levels of hierarchy

Identifying the root cause of a breakdown in a timely manner and ensure the correct parts are obtained.

Ensuring all work complies with engineering standards.

Carrying out inspection/checks on own work as it proceeds and ensuring that the equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to the customer.

What will help you to excel in this role:

Relevant technical qualification

Previous experience in related roles, including crane engineer, lift engineer, elevator technician, with an electrical bias.

Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals

The ability to work independently and under pressure

The ability to manage and prioritise workload

Understanding customer needs
